I go so insane over act 4 scene 4 of Richard III it's unreal but every single part of it goes so hard what am I supposed to do.
#i went to Leicester today so i went to the richard iii centre and when i got home i decided to watch it and just ughhhh#WOMEN#also while I'm here everytime i watch arthur hughes' richard the more i love him like it's so subtle a lot of what he does but I'm like#genuinely kinda rooting for him and obviously a large part of that is Shakespeare's writing but of the Richards I've seen he's the one that#I've found the most compelling#and another thing obvious richard is the key figure and you can take the women out of the story and it still works but they're so so#important to like the depth of the story and you need all of them as well which is why matter quite how powerful the performances are it's#just not quite the same without her#I am a firm believer that even though she only has like two scenes Margaret is the second most important character thematically#because you remove her and the story is fine but thematically??? oh it pales in comparison
